In the 25 years since the Princess Bride hit the big screen. Harry Potter has come and gone; the Lord of the Rings trilogy made an appearance, and while I will always love Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, none of the Pirates movies have had the lasting impact of the Princess Bride.
I watched the movie somewhere in sixth grade (1994), if memory serves, at my friend Bess’s house. Fast-forward a dozen plus years later, and that’s one of the few movies that resonated with both genders of my generation.

Check out Mashable’s great tribute Inconceivable! A tribute of an Unusual size to the Princess Bride including gifs, quotes and more. There might be a couple of generations who won’t get the movie’s subtleties, its lack of computer generated effects, but thanks to the power of digital media and content curation, the movie lives on.
